National Tournament: 7th place

Overall, 2022 was also good to us, although the timing of the bad weather this season was impeccable. We had no missed shows due to weather or flooding other than one, which happened to be the show right before Nationals! We did not get to practice or ski the 3 days leading up to Nationals, and the weather at the National Tournament in Loves Park, IL was some of the worst conditions we have ever skied in with wind, rain, whitecaps, and an incredibly fast current in high water! We still placed 7th at the National Tournament and for the second year in a row won the Best Comedy Award for our stage show! Despite the disappointment of not being able to put on our best show at Nationals due to the conditions, the rest of the season was really great! We had record breaking collections from our fans during our home shows, and hosted two very successful tournaments, both the Central Regional Tournament in which we also competed and the D2 National Tournament. We maintained around 120 members putting on a very elaborate stage production complete with a flying UFO and 8 foot tall alien. For the first time since 2013 we won the Central Regional Tournament!  We also won the awards for Best Dock and Equipment, Best Tow Boat Driving, Best Sound & Announcing, and Best Ballet at Central Regionals. We successfully built the largest opening pyramid in team history with a 3 tier, double-top 4 tier, 3 tier including a total of 34 people. We also debuted a new act called Evolution of Swivel in which Anna did a backwards toehold dock start with a harness around her waist pulling Trista, who quickly did a hopdock and turned 180 degrees in a hand turn with a harness around her waist pulling Tagen, who did a hopdock and then did a 360 degree overhead. The theme was "Men in Black: Alien Crisis". The show directors were Jordan Allender with assistants Scott Allender and Danielle Hauck.
