In 2012, our team maintained our large size with over 140 members. We placed second at the Central Regional Tournament at our home site. We finished in third place at the National Tournament in Janesville, WI. Trista Foster won the Willa Cook Award at the National Tournament for being the best female skier in the nation. She was also later named the NSSA Female Show Skier of the Year for 2012. In August shortly after the National tournament, the Backwater Gamblers successfully built our first 5 tier pyramid. The theme was 'Rock River Fire and Rescue'. The show directors were Scott Allender, Larry Anderson and Tagen Tipton.
